1/13/24: Between yesterday and early this morning we received anywhere between 6 and 9 inches of snow in the Pickerel area depending on location.  Groomers have been out packing the trails.  Single digits tonight and Sunday is  high of 5 and low of -4.  Monday high of 3, low of  -9.   Currently there is no snow in the forecast.

12/15/23: Waiting for thing to freeze up more, stay cold and SNOW!   New TPSC garb available at Dawn's Walleye Lodge thru Christmas.  Spring Raffle Tickets are available at our pitstops, they make great stocking stuffers.
Poker Run is next up on our calendar, come join the fun for a great cause.

   What You Need to Know About the New WI Trail Pass – WI Act 142

(Posted 12/12/14) Additional information from the AWSC regardingTrail Pass Roster:

Please note that the AWSC will no longer continue to list the "significant other" on the roster when the couple is not married.  The "significant other" is not a dues paying member of the AWSC and therefore is not eligible for the upcoming discounted WI Trail Pass.

   To be eligible for the discounted trail pass and the insurance benefit they must become a dues   paying member of the AWSC

                                     IMPORTANT TRAIL INFO YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

Caution:

                                 The Winter aeration (large area of open water) on Pickerel Lake is located

                                                  on the north side of the lake just east of the narrows.                 

                           Please be advised that ice conditions can change rapidly and beware of ice heaves.

(Posted 01/21/14): NOTICE: THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH SLEDS GOING OVER THE 10MPH SPEED LIMIT ON LOST LAKE ROAD (NEAR HWY 55) WHERE THERE ARE SOME RESIDENCES, ESPECIALLY WHERE THE TRAIL CROSSES OVER DRIVEWAYS.  THIS TRAIL HAS HAD "SLOW" AND SPEED LIMIT SIGNS POSTED FOR MANY YEARS AND THERE WERE TWO MORE 10 MPH ADDED THIS AFTERNOON (ONE IN EACH DIRECTION) ALSO, I AM TOLD BOTH THE DNR AND LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF THIS PROBLEM AND IT WILL BE MONITORED BY BOTH AGENCIES.  PLEASE FOLLOW THE 10 MPH SPEED LIMIT SIGNS OR THIS TRAIL WILL BE CLOSED.  LOST LAKE ROAD IS A MAJOR TRAIL GETTING TO/FROM POST LAKE AREA AS WELL AS GETTING TO AND FROM PICKEREL LAKE.

(Posted 10/11/12) Pickerel Creek Rd. Issue: After many meetings with the Town Of Ainsworth Officials and your Club Officers and Board Members the passage of using Pickerel Creek Rd. has been granted with NEW STIPULATIONS:

                                                                              1. There is a 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT

                                                                    2. Snowmobiles are to be in SINGLE FILE ONLY

   3. ALL Northbound will use the east side of the road and ALL Southbound traffic will use the west side of the road.                                                         (Just as if you were driving a car or truck.)

                                                                     4. Pickerel Creek Rd. will not be groomed.

There is also a slight trail change through the woods getting on/off Pickerel Creek Rd. near Hwy T so you won't have to be on the road the entire time.

PLEASE RESPECT THESE STIPULATIONS OR THIS PASSAGEWAY WILL BE CLOSED.
